Jenni Sparks who lives in London, recently drew a detailed map of New York City  She did it with depictations of buildings and the map reflects the dense population so well. Metropolice areas are highlighted with sparks, quirky icons and typography. All this is done to highlight the landmarks. The monochromatic map was colored by the the illustrator when she added extra bit of color in routes and subways of the city. You can buy the map here.
