We all fear spider more or less. But the Australian scientist Jurgen Otto took the courage and went up close with the creature and took mind babbling photos. The subject was Peacock Spider of Australia. It has amazing textures on its body and thus got its name. It is tiny in size (5 mm) and most of the times the patterns are not even seen with a naked eye.

Otto was so interested that, he got the mating process of these tiny spiders on tape. A male first shows it’s colorful patterns to the female and starts to shimmy sideways pulling two legs in the air. But the catch is, if the female one is not enticed into mating, she simply eats the poor little fellow. This endeavor of Otto will help in restoring the frightening image of the spiders back to normal no doubt.
